Retail Stores & Warehouse Component Agreement (03/2012) Page 21Part-time regular employees appointed to April 1, 2006, will be grandparented in respect of all terms andconditions of employment which are listed below:1. Minimum HoursThe minimum hours to be scheduled for regular part-time employees is one-half time (17.5 hours perweek, 35 hours biweekly).Regular part-time employee shifts will be a minimum of four hours in length.2. Letter of AppointmentRegular part-time employees will receive a letter of appointment which confirms the weekly orbiweekly regular hours to be scheduled.Regular part-time employees will declare their option to work additional hours up to full-time and thedays and shifts they will be available.The declaration will be provided to the Employer on a quarterly basis in January, April, July andOctober and such declaration(s) will be included on the employees personnel file.3. Service SeniorityRegular part-time employees who opt to work additional hours will earn regular service seniority forall additional straight-time hours worked, in accordance with Master Agreement Clause 11.1 –Seniority Defined.4. Declines of workRegular part-time employees who have opted to work additional hours beyond their regular hours, asconfirmed in the letter of appointments, will not have the option to decline pre-scheduled offers ofadditional hours.A regular part-time employee who is unavailable for, or declines an offer to work additional hours ofa daily recall nature, on two occasions will not be offered additional hours for the remainder of thecurrent quarter.5. Work AssignmentsRegular part-time employees will be assigned to a single store and will have access to additionalhours in that store only.Regular part-time employees on layoff and who have opted to be placed on the auxiliary recall listwill be entitled to recall to available work in each store in the seniority block in accordance withMaster Agreement Article 13. This provision does not restrict the employees right to restrict theirhours of availability as outlined in Clause 31.5 of the Master Agreement or Article 12 of the RS&WComponent Agreement.6. Short and Long-Term DisabilityEligibility for benefits pursuant to Appendix 4 of the Master Agreement will be based on the regularpart-time hours as stated in the letter of appointment.Appendix 4 does not apply where a regular part-time employee has opted for additional hours and isunable to work due to illness or injury when such work become available.7. Vacation Pay of Additional HoursVacation entitlement pursuant to Master Agreement Clause 18.1(d) will be based upon thestraight-time hours worked by the regular part-time employee.

Agreement Not to ApplyExcept as otherwise agreed, Article 31 does not apply to regular part-time employees.INFORMATION APPENDIX IRe: CompensationNotwithstanding Appendices 3A and 3B of the 13 th Master Agreement, the following represents the ratesof pay for employees covered by the Retail Stores & Warehouse Component.A. Store Operations1. Current regular employees classified as Store Clerk R9 as of November 24, 2003, and working inthe store system, will have their classification maintained at Grid R9 so long as they occupy such a position.2. Current auxiliary employees who are working in the store system as of November 24, 2003, willhave their current classification maintained at Grid R9 as long as they continue to be employed as anauxiliary Store Clerk. Auxiliary Store Clerks classified at Grid R9 who are appointed to a regular StoreClerk position will be placed on the Grid at the closest step not less than their current rate of pay.3. After November 24, 2003, the salary schedule for regular Store Clerks will be:Store Clerk Salary ScheduleStep 1 16.4759Step 2 17.4330Step 3 17.9354Step 4 18.6873Step 5 19.23194.
