Requirements:1. Class meetings consist of lecture and discussion. Students are expected to attend class andparticipate in discussions.2. You must complete each assignment satisfactorily. Assignments must be turned in on the date theyare due. The Child Observation Journal and the Reflective Teaching Journal are to be turned in on aweekly basis to either the instructor or your supervising teacher.3. There will be a midterm project and a final exam. Each student will participate in the planning andimplementation of a curriculum project that will be presented in <strong>134B</strong> and in your internship classroom.You will sign up to do this project with the children and all eligible children should participate. Thecumulative final exam consists of multiple choice items, short answer items, and short essayquestions.PSYCHOLOGY <strong>134E</strong>: Fieldwork in Early Childhood EducationGrading<strong>134E</strong> is offered as a pass/no pass course only and must be taken in conjunction with <strong>134B</strong>.Requirements1. You must complete all of your scheduled hours (8 hrs/wk and 6hrs/finals wk) at your placement site byFriday of Finals week. Failure to arrive twice for your scheduled internship time without notifying yoursupervising teacher in advance of your absence will result in cancellation of your internship and asubsequent non-passing grade. Chronic or excessive tardiness will result in a No Pass. Completion of all86 hours is required for a passing grade.2. You will be required participate in a mid-quarter individual evaluation (with your supervising teacher) andto return the evaluation form, along with your evaluation response form, by Friday of the seventh weekof the quarter. Completion of the evaluation is required for a passing grade.
