Office of Intelligence<strong>The</strong> ICE Office of Intelligence (Intel) supports ICE ef<strong>for</strong>ts to combat child exploitation through anumber of programs.• Human SmugglingIntel supports OI <strong>and</strong> OIA with both tactical <strong>and</strong> strategic intelligence regardingchild smuggling/child trafficking investigations <strong>and</strong> operations. At the strategiclevel, Intel Analysts prepare threat assessments to support the accuratedeployment of our agency resources. At the tactical level, analysts supportsignificant investigations <strong>and</strong> operations both domestically <strong>and</strong> with internationallaw en<strong>for</strong>cement allies abroad. Via the Secure Communities initiative, ICE Intelidentifies aliens illegally present who have reentered the country after deportation<strong>for</strong> serious sexual offenses against children; Intel identifies <strong>and</strong> prioritizes thosealiens illegally present who pose a significant threat to reoffend against children<strong>and</strong> a danger to our communities.• Forced <strong>Child</strong> Labor (FCL)Intel supports OI <strong>and</strong> OIA with both tactical <strong>and</strong> strategic intelligencesurrounding FCL investigations <strong>and</strong> operations. At the strategic level, IntelAnalysts prepare threat assessments to support the accurate deployment of ouragency resources. At the tactical level, analysts support significant investigations<strong>and</strong> operations both domestically <strong>and</strong> with international law en<strong>for</strong>cement alliesabroad to prevent the illegal importation of goods produced as a result of theexploitation of children.• <strong>Child</strong> Sex TourismIn furtherance of ICE’s overall mission to combat <strong>Child</strong> Sex Tourism, ICE Intellaunched Operation Angel Watch, an intelligence-driven ef<strong>for</strong>t to combat childsex tourism by identifying registered sex offenders traveling internationally whodemonstrate behavior indicative of travel to gain access to children <strong>for</strong> sexualexploitation.85
