The ICAC TaskForces provide investigative technical assistance in a variety of ways, including reviewingsample affidavit and search warrant language; providing advice and guidance in the developmentand execution of both small and large scale undercover operations; and participating in the arrestand interview of an individual suspected of engaging in child sexual exploitation. Otherexamples of investigative technical assistance include providing contact information anddirection in communicating with Internet Service Providers or common approaches to extractinginformation from an online search engine to corroborate a suspect’s Internet activity.
