CyberTipline ReportsFrom 1998 through 2008, the number of child pornography incidents reported to theCyberTipline by citizens and by ISPs increased 33 percent from 64,250 in 2005 to 85,301 in2008 (see Figure 3). Much of the increase in child pornography production and distribution hasoccurred more recently, evidenced by a rapid increase in the number of child pornographyimages and videos submitted to the NCMEC CVIP from 2003 (449,434) through 2008(8,603,432).Table 3.
