(see also “Preparation of the implant bed for tapered effect implants“, page 37) When the thickness of the bone is less than 1 mm or a layer of bone is not present, a simultaneous bone augmentation procedure* is indicated. * This technique should be performed only by dentists who have adequate experience in the use of augmentation procedures.
