the sLa ® surface is created by sandblasting and acid etching. in this way, the titani-
um surface is given a macro roughness and superimposed microstructure. With
sLactive, the proven sLa ® concept has been further advanced with improved surface
chemistry. Due to its ideal conditioning, the chemically active and hydrophilic sLactive
surface significantly promotes the initial healing reaction. the resulting accelerated
bone formation on the sLactive surface reduces the healing time from 6 – 8 weeks to
3 – 4 weeks.
