Tapered Effect profile drill<br />

after <strong>the</strong> implant bed has been prepared as for a standard or standard Plus implant,<br />

preparati<strong>on</strong> c<strong>on</strong>cludes with shaping <strong>the</strong> c<strong>on</strong>ical regi<strong>on</strong> of <strong>the</strong> implant bed with a<br />

special tapered effect profile drill (max. 300 rpm). <strong>the</strong>re is a profile drill (in two shaft<br />

lengths, short or l<strong>on</strong>g) corresp<strong>on</strong>ding to <strong>the</strong> selected apical implant diameter (3.3 mm,<br />

4.1 mm, 4.8 mm) (see te profile drills, page 29).<br />

<strong>the</strong> profile drill acts as a depth gauge aid at <strong>the</strong> same time in order to check <strong>the</strong><br />

vertical positi<strong>on</strong> of <strong>the</strong> implant. By holding it static in <strong>the</strong> hole after drilling, <strong>the</strong><br />

probable shoulder positi<strong>on</strong> can be checked. see also hints <strong>on</strong> possible vertical<br />
