Because of <strong>the</strong> short neck secti<strong>on</strong> in implants in <strong>the</strong> standard Plus Line (1.8 mm),<br />

part of <strong>the</strong> flared neck c<strong>on</strong>figurati<strong>on</strong> is inserted in <strong>the</strong> b<strong>on</strong>e. <strong>the</strong>re is a special<br />

profile drill (max. 400 rpm) for <strong>the</strong> flared preparati<strong>on</strong> of <strong>the</strong> implant bed<br />

(analogous to <strong>the</strong> neck c<strong>on</strong>figurati<strong>on</strong> of <strong>the</strong> standard Plus implants).<br />

Tip<br />

In order to make it easier to insert <strong>the</strong> drill with <strong>the</strong> next diameter into <strong>the</strong> b<strong>on</strong>e<br />

cavity, <strong>the</strong> margin of <strong>the</strong> implant bed can be bevelled slightly. To do so, <strong>the</strong><br />

corresp<strong>on</strong>ding profile drill is inserted into <strong>the</strong> drill hole. The diameter of<br />

this “auxiliary“ drill corresp<strong>on</strong>ds to that of <strong>the</strong> last pilot or twist drill employed.<br />
