<strong>the</strong> straumann ® Drill stop provides precise c<strong>on</strong>trol over drilling depth during implant bed preparati<strong>on</strong> for <strong>the</strong> placement of<br />

straumann ® dental implants.<br />

Delivered in sterile sets <strong>the</strong> drill stops are ready to use. <strong>the</strong> straumann ® Drill stop is designed for single-patient use <strong>on</strong>ly and must be<br />

used in c<strong>on</strong>juncti<strong>on</strong> with <strong>the</strong> single-patient drills specifically designed for <strong>the</strong>m.<br />

each straumann ® Drill stop set includes<br />

drill stops with <strong>the</strong> following diameters:<br />

Ø 2,2 mm (blue), Ø 2,8 mm (yellow),<br />

Ø 3,5 mm (red), Ø 4,2 mm (green).<br />

<strong>the</strong>se diameters corresp<strong>on</strong>d to <strong>the</strong><br />

diameters of <strong>the</strong> straumann ® drills.<br />

applying <strong>the</strong> following reference chart you can specify which drill stop type can be used in preparing <strong>the</strong> implant bed depth with<br />

<strong>the</strong> short or l<strong>on</strong>g drill.<br />

Step 1: Determine <strong>the</strong> implant bed depth (6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 mm).<br />

Step 2: choose <strong>the</strong> drill length (short or l<strong>on</strong>g).<br />

Step 3: match <strong>the</strong> implant bed depth to <strong>the</strong> drill stop type as shown in <strong>the</strong> reference chart.<br />

Important<br />

straumann ® drill stops are not indicated for:<br />

extracti<strong>on</strong> sites, where b<strong>on</strong>e cavity is often wider than <strong>the</strong> diameter necessary to hold <strong>the</strong> drill stop.<br />

use with drill templates, due to <strong>the</strong> interference from or with <strong>the</strong> template.<br />
