12PlantStruxure Certification ProgramThe PlantStruxure CEP (Certified Engineer Program) distinguishes and recognises engineers skilledin the integration of <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> technology based automation projects.With the certification, <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> acknowledges to the market that the PlantStruxure CertifiedEngineer masters the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> system offer/ technology. The engineer should therefore becapable, to implement a given solution/application in the best possible way using <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong>technology. Currently, the PlantStruxure Certified Engineer Program is available only to employeesof active <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Alliance partners.The PlantStruxure certification is issued to engineers who have successfully demonstrated theirexpertise by passing an exam for each of the four key modules:■ Module 1: <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Architectures and Networking■ Module 2: Unity Pro and PAC Platforms■ Module 3: Vijeo Citect - SCADA Platform■ Module 4: Engineering Tools■ Module 5: Connexium (external Prometric exam or RPL* from Hirschmann)What is the PlantStruxureCertification Program?The PlantStruxureCertification Programis designed to test anengineer’s knowledgeof <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong>’spreferred systems andarchitectures. ThePlantStruxure CertifiedEngineer (PCE) status isawarded to engineers whopass four exams designedspecifically to test thisknowledge.Modules 1 through 3 are mandatory and passing grades on each module are required to be eligible forcertification. Module 4 contains two sub modules - one for UAG and one for sg 2 . A passing grade ononly one of these two modules is sufficient to be eligible for certification. A candidate can choose totake either one or both of these.
