McDowell COUNTYCLEAN INDOOR AIR REGULATIONTITLEThis Regulation shall be known as the McDowell County Clean Indoor AirRegulation.FINDINGS and PURPOSEThe United States Surgeon General has determined that involuntary inhalation oftobacco smoke is (a) a cause of numerous diseases in health of nonsmokers’ and (b) amajor contributor to indoor air pollution; and (c) that children, elderly people, andindividuals with cardiovascular and/or respiratory diseases are at special risk. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has classified secondhand smokeas a Group A Carcinogen, known to cause cancer in humans.
