Further I drawyour attention that candidates applied up to 30.09.2009 are eligible to appear for theabove examination.The Research Scholars who posses the following:1. M.Phil Degree2. Passed M.Phil/Ph.D from any Universityare eligible for exemption* of the examination. However such candidates have to senda letter of request with evidence of the same through their research guides along witha DD for Rs. 500/- towards exemption fee drawn in favour of Registrar, RayalaseemaUniversity, payable at Kurnool.The Pre-Ph.D examination consists of two papers:Paper – I - Research MethodologyPaper – II – Research Topic.Please visit our website for the syllabus of the Paper – I Research Methodology.Paper – II syllabus has to be submitted by all the Research Scholars (exceptexempted from appearing the Pre - Ph.D examination*) in consultation with theResearch Guides containing the details in hard copy along with a soft copy to e-mailof the Director, Research Studies:(i)(ii)(iii)The Research Topic and the Title of the thesis (The topic should be veryspecific)The Syllabus content of the Paper – II (Research Topic) of Ph.D/ M.PhilWritten examination in the form of 4/5 units.Model paper consisting of 10 questions out of which the candidate has toanswer any five questions.The Research Guide should approve the syllabus and certify the same.

The above information shall reach our University on or before 30.11.2009, for theconduct of the examinations during January, 2010. However, the candidates who areunable to appear for the above scheduled examination can appear for suchexamination being planned tentatively during May/June, 2010. The examination application can be downloaded from the University website. All the candidates who are eligible for appearing for the Pre-Ph.D.examination shall pay the fee of Rs. 1,500/- through DD in favour ofRegistrar, Rayalaseema University Payable at Kurnool. Last date for registration of examination is 30.11.2009. The examination applications will be received till 10.12.2009 with a late feeof Rs. 500/- The candidates who are eligible but did not passed or appeared earlier canappear for this examination or individual paper which ever is applicable. The examination fee is US$ 100 for NRI/Foreign candidates in equivalemtINR Rs. 5,000/- for complete examination.
