He has been used in all aspects of ranch work, doctoring cattle outside, branding calves, sorting pairs, gathering and used as a gate horse extensively.He is good around other horses, hauls and ties quietly. He is a son of Smokums Prize and exhibits many of the same characteristics as his sire, big stopping and very cowy. “Dunny” bridles up very nicelyand is a pleasure to ride both inside and outside. He has been ridden long days doing ranch work in the hills and always has the stamina to get the job done no matter how difficult the task. He has a lot ofheart and won’t quit. My 8 year old son has ridden him gathering cattle and gets along with him very well.
