How dare you enterLanka?” Using <strong>the</strong> same d<strong>is</strong>paraging words ofRavana, Hanuman said to him, “I have comeat <strong>the</strong> command of my master who has cut<strong>the</strong> nose and ears of your younger s<strong>is</strong>ter.” Atth<strong>is</strong>, Ravana was furious and asked Hanuman,“How dare you address me in th<strong>is</strong> derogatorymanner? Nobody has so far dared to do so.”Then Hanuman said, “All are demons here.So, <strong>the</strong>y have not talked to you in th<strong>is</strong> manner.But I am <strong>the</strong> servant of Rama. Meanwhile, all <strong>the</strong> demonscame and surrounded Hanuman as h<strong>is</strong> tailwas wrapped in clo<strong>the</strong>s, dipped in oil and seton fi re. With h<strong>is</strong> burning tail, Hanuman startedjumping from one house to <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r, <strong>the</strong>rebysetting <strong>the</strong> entire Lanka on fi re. Beautifuland palatial buildings studded with preciousstones went up in fl ames within no time. All<strong>the</strong> inhabitants of Lanka were fear-strickenand started asking each o<strong>the</strong>r, “Where can wego now when all <strong>the</strong> houses are set on fi re?”Mandodari also came and sat outside as hermansion along with all valuables was reducedto ashes. All <strong>the</strong> residents of Lanka came toMandodari and said, “Mo<strong>the</strong>r! Manypeople of Lanka have lost <strong>the</strong>ir lives due to <strong>the</strong>sins committed by your husband. Therefore,you should adv<strong>is</strong>e your husband to follow <strong>the</strong>correct path so that all are protected.”Whatever actions you perform, you willhave to reap <strong>the</strong>ir consequences accordingly.Therefore, you should develop morality andimbibe human qualities. You should have lovefor <strong>God</strong> so as to develop human qualities andmorality. When <strong>the</strong>re <strong>is</strong> morality in society,all will be protected and no harm will come tosociety.Everyone has to face <strong>the</strong> consequences ofh<strong>is</strong> actions, whoever he may be.No one can know what lies ahead for himin future.But th<strong>is</strong> much <strong>is</strong> sure that everybody has toreap <strong>the</strong> consequences of h<strong>is</strong> actions.(Telugu Poem)When <strong>the</strong> food becomes stale, <strong>the</strong>re <strong>is</strong> nouse keeping it any longer because it will becomemore and more stale. You may hide sins fromsociety but you cannot hide anything from <strong>God</strong>.Therefore, do not try to hide anything. If youcan do good to o<strong>the</strong>rs, do it.
