<strong>HX8347</strong>-G(T)240RGB x 320 dot, 262K color, TFT Mobile Single Chip Driver5.14.3 Minimum brightness setting of CABC functionDATA SHEET Preliminary V01CABC function is automatically reduced backlight brightness based on imagecontents. In the case of the combination with the CABC or manual brightness setting, display brightness is too dark. It must affect image quality degradation. CABCminimum brightness setting (CMB[7:0] bits of R3Fh) works to avoid too muchbrightness reduction. When CABC is active, CABC can not reduce the display brightness to less thanCABC minimum brightness setting. Image processing function works as normal, evenif the brightness can not be changed. This function does not affect the other function, manual brightness setting. Manualbrightness can be set the display brightness to less than CABC minimum brightness.Smooth transition and dimming function can work as normal. When display brightness is turned off (BCTRL=’0’ of R3Dh), CABC minimumbrightness setting is ignored. Read CABC minimum brightness CMB[7:0] (R3Fh)always reads the setting value.5.14.4 Display dimmingA dimming function (how fast to change the brightness from old to new level and whatare brightness levels during the change) is used when changing from one brightnesslevel to another to avoid flicker in the actual display module.
