Configuring RTP and RTCPNote:Note:Note:●●●●●●Note:This command automatically enables TCP header decompression on thisinterface.Use the ip rtp max-period command to set the maximum number of compressedheaders that can be sent between full headers.Use the ip rtp max-time command to set the maximum number of seconds betweenfull headers.Use the ip rtp non-tcp-mode command to set the header compression mode. Whenset to ietf, the command performs IP header compression according to IPHC RFCs.When set to non-ietf, the command performs IP header compression compatible withother vendors, which do not strictly follow the RFCs.Note:IETF mode is not compatible with non-IETF mode.Use the ip rtp port-range command to configure the range of UDP ports for RTP.By default, the G350 decompresses up to 16 compressed TCP connections. You canmodify this number (within the range of 3-256) using the ip tcpdecompression-connections command. Use the no form of this command to restorethe default. This command only exists in a PPP encapsulated interface.Note:The G350 is currently not capable of actively compressing TCP connections. Itdecompresses TCP connections compressed on the other side of the link.Use the show ip rtp header-compression command to display the RTP headercompression statistics for a specific interface. If no interface is specified, statistics for allinterfaces are displayed.Issue 3 January 2005 73
