DAY 10(Monday, 28 April 2014)A DIFFICULT DAYIt is DAY 10 of my hunger strike and I feel excellent. My weight this morning is 83.5 Kg, whichmeans I only lost 600 grams since yesterday. All in all, I have lost 9 Kilograms so far, or a tadover 10% of my initial body weight. But the good news is that soon I will be at my ideal weightof 80 Kg. So there is a lot of life left in me. It will be a couple of months before I keel over onSt. Peter’s steps, if Pope Francis continues to remain silent.To give the man the benefit of the doubt, we must not forget that he has been extremely busywith Easter and then the canonization. I have no doubt that he will do the right thing in goodtime. To make sure the Vatican has no excuse and cannot claim to have been unaware of myhunger strike, I send periodic updates to Radio Vaticano and L’Osservatore Romano, thus theVatican radio and newspaper, as well as the Vatican administration. So far, I have received noresponse.If the silence continues, I will begin issuing open letters at the rate of one a week and they willcontain information the Vatican would go to great lengths to keep secret.Nick and I have a very difficult day ahead of us. We need to shoot video footage in one location,some 7 Km away from home, we need to do a voice recording of the methods of depopulationfor a soon to be release 5 minute film, and I need to make my appearance on St. Peter’s squarefor my second prayer day. And all of this, we must do on foot since we cannot afford to pay fortransportation.Let’s hope we will get it all done. In any case one thing is certain, by the time we get back homewe will be exhausted yet our work will be nowhere near over. But that is the pace we keep herefor that is what it takes to break the system.Those of you who watch and listen must come to our aid in concrete terms. I hope you will,otherwise all our efforts will have been in vain.52
