SERIES XGENERAL DESCRIPTIONNylicon CouplingsGear Coupling with nylon sleeveGeneral DescriptionNylicon flexible gear couplings, types 600, are available inthree sizes and are ideal for small power drives with boresizes up to 55mm (2.25 inches) diameter and a basic ratedtorque up to 463 Nm.Uniform LoadingThermosetting plastic sleeves provide non conductiveassemblies. Staggered internal teeth ensure uniform loadingand an internal central buffer ring between the two hubspromote axial location giving protection to the gear teeth.Low Cost OptionThey compensate for all types of shaft misalignment andallow a small amount of end float. Nylicon couplings areeasy to assemble and require no maintenance giving lowcost reliable service under the most arduous conditions ofweather, atmospheric pollution or humidity.SpecificationNylon couplings are available pilot bored (i.e. withoutkeyways) allowing the customer to finish machine bores andkeyways to special requirements, or supplied with standardbores and keyways. Each size of coupling can have anycombination of pilot and/or standard bores. Socket setscrews and setting gauge are provided with each coupling.54
