The use of priority lists and scheduling helpsto reveal problems.E. Homework Helps Regulate and Discipline the Counselor's Counseling.1. It helps the counselor to stay on track. As his goal is to bring about sanctification, hecan know the extent to which he is succeeding.2. Weekly homework assignments keep the problem and the goals before thecounselor. It forces him to talk about solutions as well as problems and to bringabout change. Homework will help the counselor to eliminate talking in circles.3 It will drive home truth in the life of the counselor as well, for he must search theScriptures for the homework to be given.4.
