18 December 2009MITIE Group PLCMITIE secures contract with Plymouth Community HomesMITIE has been awarded an £16.5 million contract to carry out major improvement works to over14,000 homes in Plymouth.Plymouth Community Homes selected MITE as one of four suppliers to deliver kitchen andbathroom refurbishments as part of a five-year framework agreement.MITIE, along with the other chosen suppliers are using a single local supply chain to secure thebest economies of scale and value for money, and are equally committed to using local labour.It is envisaged that this could mean up to 120 jobs and 12 apprenticeships in the city.
