Navitas scholarshipsHello Everyone! The gratitude in being an FIC scholarship recipient is reallyunexplainable. I greatly appreciate the aid that was honored to me. The kind ofsupport that the administration staff offered me during the application processwas truly applaudable. As an international student the reward was a dreamcome true, making my Canadian studies comfortable for me. It not only reducedthe burden but also induces students (like me) to apply for scholarships.So, friends its not just an FIC experience its also the opportunity to get auniversity experience as we get full access to the Campus facilities of SFU, it’sthe icing on the cake.The faculty and the whole setup is definitely comfortable and convenientfor international students. There is so much to learn once you interact andcommunicate with students from different countries, cultures and societies.Obviously it transforms students into mature individuals preparing them fordifferent phases and circumstances in ones lives.Rohini Grover, India2009 Navitas Academic Merit Scholarship RecipientNavitas academic meritscholarshipsNavitas is committed to helping studentsachieve their career goals by offeringscholarships to outstanding students.The scholarship applies to 50% of thetuition fee for a Navitas Diploma*program at a Navitas college or oneacademic semester of undergraduatestudies at ACN, Curtin Sydney, CurtinSingapore or Macquarie City Campus.To be considered for the Navitas academicmerit scholarship, students must:1. Have achieved a minimum averageof 70% in their high school final yeargrades. Students who have completedfurther studies, must have achieved aminimum average of 70% in the last 12months of their most recent studiesto be eligible. Non-academic subjectsincluding physical education, religionand languages are not included in theassessment; and 2. Have achieved aminimum English language proficiencyof IELTS 5.5 or equivalent; and 3. Havea Letter of Offer from a Navitas collegeor Navitas operated university campus(must hold an UNCONDITIONAL OFFERby the application deadline); and 4. Bea new applicant (i.e. students who arecurrently studying with a Navitas memberinstitution are not eligible).Please note:1. 2 x 50% scholarships are offered at all Navitascolleges each term.2. Additional factors such as educational disadvantage,membership of a specific equity group and/orsignificantly adverse personal circumstances maybe taken into account where the committee mustdifferentiate between equally qualified applicants.3. Students who are eligible to apply for a Navitasacademic merit scholarship will be sent thescholarship application form with their Letter of Offer.* Diploma program may also be known or registeredas Diploma Stage 2, 1st Year Degree Programmeor University Transfer Program Stage II by someNavitas member institutions.26
