Faculty-Based Projects‣ Generati<strong>on</strong> of Baseline Data for the Evaluati<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong>Improvement of the Pumping Plant Efficiencies of ShallowTubewell <strong>and</strong> Low lift Pump Irrigati<strong>on</strong> Systems-Evaluated the performance test results of three pumps <strong>and</strong>two primemovers.‣ Saccharificati<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong> Fermentati<strong>on</strong> of Mixed Corn <strong>and</strong> CornWastes for Ethanol Producti<strong>on</strong>.- Corn residues c<strong>on</strong>sisting of corn husks <strong>and</strong> corn cobs wereprepared to produce powdered samples , which were subjectedto pretreatment using dilute acid ( 0.5% H2SO4) <strong>and</strong> hotwater;enzymatic saccharificati<strong>on</strong> using cellulose loading of10% (w/w) <strong>and</strong> 20% (w/w);- The hydrolyzates (saccharified samples) were used assubstrates for ethanol fermentati<strong>on</strong>.13
