Attach the bladeUsing gloved hands, position a new blade on top of theclipper head and slide the blade back until it clicks intoplace and the indentations on the handle are alignedwith the notch on the blade.2. Clip hairWet clip whenever possible. Clipping a dry area canresult in airborne dispersal of skin cells and loose hair,which can contaminate the wound site.Hold the clipper handle as you would a pen or pencilwith the CareFusion logo facing up. Stretch the skin,rest the clipping blade flat on the skin and clip againstthe grain of the hair.3. Remove bladeTurn the clipper off, position the clipper blade facingdownward over a sharps bin and use your thumb to pushthe blade forward along the blade frame.4. Clean clipper handleWash the clipper handle thoroughly with soap and water,wipe the device with surface disinfectant, or soak thehandle in an approved antimicrobial agent for no morethan 15 minutes.5. Charge and storePlace the clipper handle in an upright position in thecharging adapter to ensure it will be charged for the nextprocedure.
