We hold that whatever otherweaknesses there may have been in Kant s system,his point was true beyond question. Many Hegelians of modern times have come forward with a wellarrayedattack against the fundamental doctrines ofKant, but unfortunately they have started withtheir critigratuitous premises and consequentlycisms have mostly missed the mark. 1 Kant sThings-in-Themselvesseem to them to standopposed to phenomena, and so supposing a cleavagebetween the two worlds they infer that it isimpossible to bring these two into relation.
