22CalibrationDBThe deadband trimmer potentiometer determines the timethat will elapse between the application of current in onedirection before current is applied in the opposite direction.The deadband trimmer potentiometer affects theresistance that a motor has to changes in shaft position atzero speed. It does this by applying AC voltage to the motorarmature.Deadband is factory calibrated to approximately the3 o’clock position for 60 Hz AC line operation. Recalibratethe deadband to the 9 o’clock position for 50 Hz AC lineoperation. See Figure 14 for recommended deadband settings.Figure 14. Deadband Settings
