The Magic of Performance
Since its renovation in 2006 the Festspielhaus
boasts a new, extraordinary design with optimised
technology and modern furnishings. The house is a
successful composition of glass, steel, wood and
concrete. The light, glass entrance area and the
strict, black outer façade of the workshop stage
complement each other perfectly.
The building is functional and aesthetic inside and
out. Well thought-out presentation areas place
theatre performances of all kinds in the best light.
Each room has a new design. Up to 2150 persons can
be accommodated. The festival hall is supported by
a team that loves and celebrates the high art of stage
production. In 2004 it was awarded the APEX-Award
by the AIPC – International Association of Congress
Centres as one of the three best congress centres of
the world.
