the Montforthaus in Feldkirch, when plays are<br />
staged in the Kulturhaus Dornbirn and the Haus<br />
der Messe in Dornbirn transforms into an international<br />
meeting point, then greatest precision is in<br />
demand-- from the first to the last second.<br />
Curtains up!<br />
There are many individual factors that contribute to the success<br />
of conferences and meetings. If one lists them, one would<br />
quickly arrive at terms used in the theatre scene as well. It is<br />
the job of the dramaturgy to ensure that the arc of suspense<br />
and highlights are well thought out and well placed. The production<br />
must be consistent, must suit the occasion, and must<br />
give the respective requests the right priorities. What a difference<br />
in atmosphere alone the seating arrangement, lighting,<br />
or acoustics can make!<br />

How practical to be able to rely on the know-how of professional<br />
partners, such as the Messe Dornbirn and the three<br />
congress centres in <strong>Vorarlberg</strong>, which are also cultural<br />

been practicing what has increasingly been gaining significance<br />
under the term "creative industries". Here the economy<br />
profits from the know-how of the culture and creative<br />
industry – and vice versa, of course. The <strong>Vorarlberg</strong> congress<br />
houses have hence developed their own discipline – "Creative<br />
<strong>Convention</strong>s" so to speak.<br />
