Welcome on board the royal Württemberg steam ship<br />
"Hohentwiel"!<br />
Built by Escher Wyss & Cie., the "Hohentwiel" was put into<br />
operation in 1913. The elegant ship attracted just as much<br />
attention as the modern steam engine, which made the<br />
"Hohentwiel" the fastest ship on Lake Constance.<br />
Because of its luxurious furnishings the ship was used for<br />
representation journeys of the royal house of Württemberg.<br />
After nearly 30 years in retirement, it was laboriously repaired<br />
true to the original from 1986-1990 and has been in operation<br />
again since May 1990. Today the "Hohentwiel" shows its old<br />
spirit: as the best restored steam ship in Europe, as trade<br />
literature writes.<br />
Experience a journey on the "Hohentwiel" in the classical<br />
style. Enjoy maritime flair on deck, the distinguished elegance<br />
in the parlors and the fascination of the powerful steam<br />
engine. The scenic beauty of the landscape surrounding Lake<br />
Constance, the exquisite ambiance and the outstanding<br />
gastronomy make the journey into an unforgettable event.<br />
Altogether the "Hohentwiel" can accommodate 350 seats,<br />
170 under deck (125 seats at tables). 130 further seats in the<br />
parlor and on deck.<br />

Possibly the nicest event location in <strong>Vorarlberg</strong>, it is also one<br />
of the most diverse. The most varied events are hosted here:<br />
e.g. the Schubertiade, congresses, conferences, theatre<br />
performances and concerts. It is the ideal setting for private<br />
festivities, smaller celebrations or balls as well.<br />
The hall, which is fitted with light wood, can be divided. The<br />
stage can be optically separated from the hall as well. Thanks<br />
to the cosy atmosphere, the modern technology, the optional<br />
catering service and the backdrop of the Bregenzerwald<br />
Forest scenery, every event is sure to be an unforgettable<br />
experience. The Angelika Kauffmann Hall accommodates up<br />
to 1000 guests and can be rented for a day or longer.<br />
