STIRLING COUNCILTHIS REPORT RELATESTO ITEMON THE AGENDAREGULATORY FUNCTIONS PANEL8 May 1997 NOT EXEMPT<strong>TAXI</strong> DRIVER’S <strong>LICENCE</strong> - <strong>ALISTAIR</strong> J <strong>MARSHALL</strong>1 PURPOSE1.1 To consider an application for the grant of a Taxi Driver’s Licence.2 SUMMARY2.1 Mr Alistair John Marshall, 12 Easterton Drive, Cowie has lodged an applicationfor the grant of a Taxi Driver’s Licence.3 RECOMMENDATION(S)3.1 That the Panel hear from the applicant an explanation of the convictionsdeclared by him before granting or refusing his application.4 CONSIDERATIONS4.1 Mr Marshall, aged 34 years has stated on his application form he has held aDVLC Licence for six years. He has also indicated on his application that hehas had the offer of employment from some local operators which he has hadto refuse as he did not hold a Taxi Driver’s Licence.4.2 Mr Marshall has declared various convictions which the Panel may wish totake into consideration when determining if he is a ‘fit and proper person’ tohold a licence.5 POLICY IMPLICATIONS5.1 None.6 CONSULTATIONS6.1 Central Scotland Police have no observations to make however, they havepointed out to the Panel the nature of the convictions disclosed.
