Endeavour to use locally availableconstruction materials and suppliers for theproject construction activities.Engage the local community and acquireapproval from relevant lead agencies prior toupgrading existing E407 road and newaccess tracks to each wind turbine.Provide prudent advice to the communitytrust fund on types of projects communityshould engage to uplift their livelihood.Transport Ensure that all wind turbines components aretransported in accordance with axle loadlimits.Ensure that relevant lead agencies and <strong>Kenya</strong>police are involved for the safe transportationof abnormal loads from Mombasa to theproject site.All construction related plant and equipmentshould adhere to stipulated speed limitsduring the construction and operationalphases respectively.Visual impact Maintain uniform size and design of windturbines (hub height, rotor diameters, etc)Paint turbines a uniform, matt non- reflectivecolor while observing air navigation markingregulations.Shadow flicker Ensure that shadow flicker does not exceedinternational guidelines of either 30 hoursper year or 30 minutes a day at thehouseholds within the project footprint area.Health and Safety Proponent to comply with the OSHA, 2007and relevant subsidiary legislationthroughout the construction and operationalphase of the project.Contractor to undertake appropriate healthand safety risk assessments and produce asafety method statement for the constructionof the project.Provide health and safety induction andongoing refresher training during theconstruction phase of the project.The full report of the proposed project is available for inspectionduring working hours at:(a) Director-General, NEMA, Popo Road, off Mombasa Road,P.O.
