818 CONCLUSIONS1. The Svartsengl reservoir is a liquid dominated reservoirwith a temperature of 235-240 oc.2. The main reservoir Is below 600 m depth, and ahyaloc!astlte formation acts as the confIned cap rock tothe reservoir. Natural discharge to the surface causesboIling above 500 m depth. and a local steam zone atshallow level is mIgrating downward as pressure decreasesin the reservoir due to exploitation.3. Prior to production, temperatures In excess of 240°Cwere recorded at several places In the reservoir. In 1983the highest temperatures found In the reservoir arebetween 235 and 23 7 °C.4. Between 1982 and 1983 significant cooling Is recorded inwell SC-TT and almost significant coolIng in wells SG - 1.SG-8 and SG-9. The cold water inflow seems to be at around1000 m depth near to well SG - l 1.5. The pressure draw down in the Svartsengi reservoir in1983 is about 9 bar and the total mass withdrawal from thereservoir from 1916 to 1983 is 4.1010 kg. A simplerelation has been established between the total masswithdrawalreservoir.and pressure decline In the Svartsengi
