33temperature at the bottom of the well has increased by 15°C(Fig. 12), and the corresponding pressure increase is 1.3bar (Fig. 13).Well SG-3 Is located close to well SG-2. It is ~02 m deepand has a bottom temperature of about 225°C as measured In177.06.14. At that time, a two-phase zone reached up toapproximately a depth of 250 m (see Fig. 15). In 1981 theboiling level has migrated down to 375 m (FIg. 15) and thetemperature has decreased by about 15°C. Further drawdownIn the reservoir has resulted in a pure steam cap down tothe bottom of the well. Both temperature and pressure haveincreased in the period from 1981 to 1983 as can be seen inFig. 14 and 15.Well SG - 4 was initially drilled to 1713 m depth, and for along time it was a production well with 1680 m cleardepth. Casing damage occured in the well in 1980 and theattempt of repairing it by redrilling was unsuccessful. Thedrill bit went out of the casing. Presently the well isopen to 540 m depth and cannot be utilized for powerproduction. The top of the geothermal system is fairlywell defined by the temperature profiles in the well(Fig. 16). The steep temperature increase between 400 mand 600 m reflects the impermeable layer at the top of thereservoir at this depth. The initial temperature in thiswell was close to 240°C and the temperature was ratheruniform at least down to 1700 m depth. The pressuregradient is hydrostatic and boiling conditions have notbeen observed in the well during static conditions(Fig.17).Well SG-5 is 1519 m deep. There has been a temperaturechange of 3°C deep in the well. The pressure drawdownbetween the years 1976 and 1983 has been about 13 kg/cm3(Fig. 21). Boiling levels were at 300 and at 400 rn in theyears 1982 and 1983 respectively (Fig. 19 and 20). whereasno boiling is recorded in 1976 (Fig . 18).
