LION’S <strong>ROAR</strong>My favourite part of Tudor Day was making the Pommander. It was really fun and lots of juicefrom the orange squirted everywhere! – Ian Sy 4SCTudor Day was amazing. I loved everything but most of all I enjoyed making a Coat of Arms. Ialso like the Tudor Day lunch, especially the chicken legs. I also like the Horrible History at theend of the day – it was so funny. – Renzo Tan 4SCMy favourite part of Tudor Day was the Tudor Feast because the food was super and the Refectoryeven looked like an actual Tudor place in England… - Arabella Chidwick 4SCTudor Day was amazing. I enjoyed it so much expecially the Coat of Arms….you had to draw oneon scratch paper and draw things that represented your personality. For example if you drew adog that would mean you were loyal. – Purvi Aiyer 4SCI liked the dancing and acting Shakespearian style with Mrs Moriarty. – Sachi Shadforth 4FOI loved the Tudor feast. <strong>The</strong> food was delicious! – Olivia Van Niekerk 4FOI enjoyed all the activities, especially designing the coat of arms. – Sasha Lamb 4FOMy favourite part was making the pomanders. <strong>The</strong>y smelled really nice. – Alexia Mattinson 4FOI enjoyed making the Tudor houses. – Coco Leather 4FOYear 2 Pirate DayLast Thursday, Year 2 also had a special day as the children allturned into feisty pirates. <strong>The</strong>y looked for buried treasure and usedtheir cutlasses to fight any enemies who dared to interrupt theirpirate lunch. <strong>The</strong>y had a fantastic morning making pirate hats,parrots and designing their own flags. I think you would all agreethat even Blackbeard would have enjoyed the Year 2 Pirate Celebrationand the amazing decorations hats that adorned the Year 2 areaand the canteen.Thank you to both Year 2 and Year 4 parents for all of their helpsetting these events up.Year 4 Great Cup Cake Bake SaleNext Friday, 14 <strong>June</strong> the students in Year 4 will be having their Great Cup Cake Bake Sale as part oftheir ‘Young Entrepreneur’ study unit.<strong>The</strong> children will be making 6 different types cup cakes as well as looking at different elements neededfor a small business such as costing of ingredients, advertising, packaging, slogans. <strong>The</strong>y will be assistedin this by Ms. Claire Atkins who actually runs her own small cup cake business. <strong>The</strong> unit also has acommunity service theme to it as the cupcakes the children make, will be sold for P50 each and anymoney raised will be donated to a charity – CHILD HAUS.CHILD HAUS has an outreach programme being assisted by our own Erwin Adevoso and operates inQuezon City.We hope the school community can help us in this by purchasing a cup cake or two as the children willhave 300 to sell!Summer SchemeWe now have 40 children signed up for the Summer Scheme we still hope that the other 30 places willbe filled.
