TABLE 6.1 POSSIBLE STRUCTURE AND CONTENTS <strong>OF</strong> <strong>THE</strong> ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT6.3.3 ConsultationThe consultation requirements listed in the Regulations (SI 2004 No. 1633) and the PracticalGuide (ODPM 2005a) include three main areas of consultation. These are: consultation withauthorities, consultation with the public and consultation in other member states that couldbe affected. The consultation requirement adhere in principle with the <strong>SEA</strong> directive, apartfrom the designation of the consultation bodies, the time limits for consultation and otherarrangements such as the way of informing the authorities and the public which have beenadapted to UK arrangements. The consultation shall take place during five main stages of the<strong>SEA</strong> process as presented in table 6.1.2.83
