Whenattempting to refresh the target list, theinitiator logs the iSNS error auth unknown(0x6) to the Windows Event Log.When you configure the initiator with iSNStarget discovery, it can intermittently fail tolog in to a target with the following errormessage:The target name is not found or is marked ashidden from login.If the initiator has an active session with aVNXe iSCSI Server and the iSCSI Serverbecomes unavailable, then the initiator logsmultiple messages to the Windows EventLog. If multiple virtual disks are configuredfor each target, the messages that theinitiator generates can quickly fill the log.Filesystem is read-only.1. Select Windows Administrative Tools >Services.2. Stop and restart the Microsoft iSCSIInitiator.The Microsoft iSCSI Initiator eventuallyrecovers from this situation. To speed upthe process, refresh the target list a fewtimes until the target in question isdiscovered.To avoid this situation, log out allconnected initiators before bringing thetarget down for its scheduled downtime.1.
