This will enable us to be more consistentin labeling product and also help us track compressors for quality and warrantyprograms.The new label is quite similar to the old one except for the date code and serialnumber location and appearance. The new label runs the date code and serialnumber together and adds a few more digits.Old label: Date code, serial number and motor information are the last line onthe label.And the information looks like: B2304 149165 TCNew label: The date code and serial number information are contained in asequence that appears as follows on the label: 51A020411123456A.Read this sequence as follows:51 A0204 1 1 123456 APlant of Mfg. Date Code Line Shift Serial No. Special MarkingYou may also see on the label other approval agency markings such as thoseused in India, Brazil or other countries along with the usual UL and CSAmarkings.The model number, bill of material, voltage and LRA appear on the label asusual.The implementation of this program began at Tecumseh Brazil in November of2003, followed by Tecumseh India in December of 2003.
