About the editorsBishnu Raj Upreti is engaged in conflict transformation in the capacityof academic, researcher and practitioner. He did his PhD in conflictmanagement (2001) from the Netherlands. Since 1996, Dr Upreti has beenactively engaged in conflict studies. Based on research and practice, he hasbeen extensively publishing nationally and internationally that also includehis 20 books. In the process of research, he has gained field experiencesfrom Nepal, Thailand, Northern Ireland, Ethiopia, Mozambique, SouthAfrica, Ivory Cost, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Costa Rica and India. He spent adecade studying, teaching and researching in the Netherlands, the UK,the USA, Canada, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland. Visiting scholarin different US and European universities, he is currently the SouthAsia Regional Coordinator of NCCR North-South and is also teaching atKathmandu University.Sagar Raj Sharma holds PhD in Development Economics from FukuokaUniversity, Japan. He has worked extensively in the fields related to ForeignAid and Development, Private Sector, and Land Reform in Nepal. He hasextensive experience of working in the development sector both as anacademician and a practitioner. With the experience of teaching in bothnational and international universities, he is currently the coordinator ofthe graduate programme at the Human and Natural Resources StudiesCentre (HNRSC) of Kathmandu University.Kailash Nath Pyakuryal holds PhD in Sociology from Michigan StateUniversity, Michigan, the USA and M.S. degree in Agriculture from theAmerican University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon. At present, he is a Facultyon Contract at Kathmandu University. Recently, he has coordinated aglobal research in Partnership Dynamics between the North and theSouth with the support of the Swiss National Centre for Competence inResearch (NCCR North-South).
