Outings:From time to time, we take our residential unit patients on outings.Examples are movies, hikes, parks, or museums. Before taking a patient on an outing, the patient is assessed by aregistered nurse, and must be safe to leave the building. If thepatient is on a special observation, due to unsafe behaviors tothemselves or others, the patient may not be going on the outing.Safety is our priority.Community Consults:Your child may leave the facility to go to an outside appointmentordered by his/her psychiatrist. Appointments that are ordered maybe one with a dentist, pediatrician, or optometrist. A support staffmember always goes with your child to these appointments.“My child's therapist is a very wonderful, caring, andkind therapist.
