Sapphire Pro 4.75.03Service Pack 1Release NotesPart Number:460922001BVersion: 4.75.03 sp 1Date: 2/16/2007Build: 2418This release contains the following fixes and enhancements:1. Bug fixes:Autoconfiguration: Fixed an autoconfiguration problem that mis-identified the ACU panel type.No known affect on Sapphire Pro systems.Photo capture and processing: Added test to prevent the same photo IDs being assigned tomultiple cards, which resulted in a single picture assigned to multiple cardholders. Tests includeboth ID in use by another cardholder and Photofile already exists. The Interface now displays anerror message and skips subsequent processing when the ‘take photo’ function fails (wouldpreviously trap).Other Reports: Fixed one case in Operator Events report that reported as an ‘Assign’ operationthat should have been reported as a ‘Display’ operation. Added ‘System Capacities Report’ textpreviously reported as ‘Unknown event 753’. Fixed a problem decoding database data thatcaused the ‘key’ (device-reader#) of a reader to display incorrectly. Modified the scripts run onreport cancel and report display to fix script errors that occurred on some systems due to thetiming of frame updates. Fixed a bug that prevented Security Area filter from working in theHistory Alarm Summary report. Fixed a truncated card number in the Time-And-Attendancereport.Illegal spaces in object names: Leading and multiple embedded spaces are now automaticallyremoved from name of reader, relay, lan adapter, alarm instructions, facility codes, remote controlfunctions and security areas. The browser removes ungrammatical spacing during display whichmade these objects un-selectable after being defined.Duplicate Facility Code names: Added a check for duplicate facility code names. Duplicatenames are no longer allowed.Function button highlighting: Fixed a problem that prevented the function button (left part ofdisplay) from being ‘selected’ when the selection was made from menu text instead of the menubutton.

IE 7.0 compatibility: Modifications made to html code to be compatible with Internet Explorerversion 7.0 (removed tag).Reader Name ‘_’ corrupting remote control points: Fixed a bug that caused an underscore(‘_’) in the reader name to corrupt the remote control point. The underscore was being removedfrom the remote control point name, causing it not to match the reader name and preventing thereader from being modified or deleted.Alarms fail to appear: Fixed a bug that prevented alarms from being displayed if more than2048 alarms were awaiting user action.Heap Allocation infinite loop: Fixed a problem that would cause an infinite loop (system hang)when the memory allocation routines were unable to satisfy a memory request.Maps not appearing on top: Modified the scripts to fix a problem that appeared on somesystems, which caused the graphic maps to appear behind the Sapphire Pro GUI window.Colorgraphics Maps door icon state: Fixed a bug that caused the ‘door’ icon on a map todisplay the wrong state (locked/unlocked/controlled) when the icon was displayed on aworkstation and the state was changed via a time schedule.Cardholder alternate menus: Modified script for all cardholder search pages (name, cardnumber, employee number, etc) to prevent a ‘Internet Explorer cannot file site file[…workstation.hta]. Operation aborted’ error that occurred on some systems when changingcardholder search criteria.Misc: Fixed fly-over text (tool tips) for cardholder batch add and delete page. Restored awarning message on reader definition page that informs user that when the reader name ischanged, existing related remote control definitions may be lost. Image consolodation on AlarmPoint definition page for improved display performance.Restored reader name-change warning message: The warning message, which wasaccidentally disabled, indicates that changing a reader name deletes the associated remotecontrol points from any defined remote control action using that reader.Alarm Refresh Issues: Fixed problems that caused alarms previously displayed in the alarmwindow to be missing when the alarm window was refreshed (including going from expanded tonormal views). The problem occurred when alarms were routed to the workstation from anotherworkstation (Hardware/Workstation page) or when the routing group definition changed after thealarm was first displayed. Also fixed a problem that caused events to stop being displayed whenthe alarm window was refreshed.Access Group Definition Page: Fixed a problem that allowed Card Import (host upload) andmultiple server fields to be displayed when these options were not enabled (access group id andreceive/import flags). A validity check has been added for Group ID field to prevent the use of ‘1’or ‘2’, which are pre-defined to mean ‘everywhere’ and ‘nowhere’.Workstation shutdown button: Fixed the ‘shutdown’ button displayed when expanded alarmwindow is used on a workstation (said ‘Sapphire Shutdown’, changed to ‘Workstation Shutdown’).Card Import: Fixed a problem that would cause the system to display an error message whenthe import file contained a blank line. Blank lines are now ignored.

2. Enhancements:Photo Popup: Multiple (up to 10) popup photos may now appear simultaneously. Previously, anew popup photo would replace an existing one. Fixed a bug that prevented photo callup whenthe event number became very large (> 65535).Mpuprun.exe: Updated demon program for diagnostic simplification purposes (added ‘readdongle value’ code).Autoconfiguration: Added status line display of autoconfiguration progress.Capabilities Report: Added missing capacities (maximums for Colorgraphics objects and DVRrecorders & cameras) to report. Added optional feature list to report.Guard Tour report: Added a tour number filter to recall other events – guard tour.
