xi)xii)xiii)Development fundsLanguage barriers in ODLWomen in ODLTypes of Events and Presentations:The 18 th <strong>IDEA</strong> <strong>An</strong>nual <strong>Conference</strong> on Open and Distance Learning will comprise differenttypes of sessions and presentations.Plenary Sessions The Opening Ceremony – Inaugural Addresses One Plenary Session for each of the three days with one or two keynote speakers ineach session The Closing SessionParallel Sessions Two or three parallel sessions, with 4 or more paper presentations each or a paneldiscussion or demonstration relating to the sub-themes Poster sessions Best practices Linked to the different parallel sessions and presenting additional papers, projects andcase studies and demonstrations in the respective field.In addition to the above events <strong>IDEA</strong> will allow for some Extension Events of differenttypes. These Extension Events will be organized independently and the responsibility restswith the Individuals, Institutions, Associations, Corporate bodies etc. concerned.Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts and Full-length papers:1. Abstracts should clearly describe the intended presentation.2. Abstracts should not contain more than 500 words (No tables, charts or graphs) + titleand authors name & address including email should be clearly mentioned.3. Submission of abstracts by email is most appreciable.4. The abstracts and all accompanying information should be sent as a single attachment.
