databases, systems administration<br />

where he acquired his PhD. degree<br />
in February 2006. Besides his<br />
teaching tasks, he researches free<br />
software development from the<br />
point of view of software engineering,<br />
with special focus in quantitative<br />
issues.<br />

the Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid,<br />
Spain), where he coordinates<br />
the research group LibreSoft. His<br />
professional areas of interest include<br />
the study of free software development<br />
and the transfer of knowledge<br />
in this field <strong>to</strong> the industrial sec<strong>to</strong>r.<br />
