1 Application and warning informationATTENTIONWrong assembled or damaged lifting means as well as improperusage can lead to physical injury and damage of propertywhile failing.Inspect lifting means before each use carefully!• Use <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong> t only at an angle bigger than 30° and up to 60° at the max.A self-release during the lift is herby not possible.• Consider extreme circumstances or shock loading when choosing the utilisedproduct.• The <strong>VIP</strong>-Container hook <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong> t must only be used by competent andtrained persons, considering the BGR 500 standard, chapter 2.8, and outsideGermany acc. to the country specific requirements.2 Intended use<strong>VIP</strong> container hooks <strong>VCH</strong><strong>10</strong>t must only be used to produce responsible for theassembly of slings in combination with <strong>VIP</strong> chains and components.They are intended to be used as end fittings for the connection with ISO Containeredges. <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong> t must only be used only at an angle bigger than 30° andup to 60° max.The <strong>VIP</strong>-Container hook <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong> t must only be used in the here described usage.3 Installation and user information3.1 General information• Capability of temperature usage:When used in temperatures higher than <strong>20</strong>0°C the WLL of the <strong>VIP</strong>-Container hook <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong> t must be reduced as follows:• -40°C up to <strong>20</strong>0°C no reduction• <strong>20</strong>0° up to 300°C minus <strong>10</strong> %• 300° up to 400°C minus 25 %• Temperatures above 400°C are prohibited!• <strong>VIP</strong>-Container hook <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong> t must not be used together with aggressivechemicals, acids and vapours.> <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong> t < 1

• The <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong>t is not designed to be used for vertical lifts of ISO-Containers.• Use <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong> t only at an angle bigger than 30° and up to 60° at the max.A self-release during the lift is herby not possible. Usage outside this anglerange is prohibited (see picture 3).30°-60°30°-60°Picture 3: Field of application between 30° and 60°• Make sure that the <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong> t is locked in the ISO-container edges whencontainer will be lifted.• Leave hazardous area when possible.• Watch always your attached loads.• Read for the complete lifting mean <strong>RUD</strong> sling chain safety instructions.3.4 Hints for the regularly testingCheck by a experienced competent person in time periods depending on thefrequency at least 1x per year, the ongoing usage of the lifting means (seechapter 4 Inspection criteria).Depending on the conditions of use, e.g. increased wear or corrosion, it mightbe necessary that inspections must to be made in shorter time intervals thanone year.4 Inspection criteriaCheck and control the following points before each initial operation, in frequenttime intervals, after assembly and special incidents:• readable size and manufacturer sign• mechanical damage like strong notches, especially in areas where tensilestress occurs• Reduction of cross section caused by wear > <strong>10</strong> %, especially at theconnection, and at the eye of the shackle.• Cracks or other damage.> <strong>VCH</strong> <strong>10</strong> t < 3
