Three types of mounting (bayonet, ratchet rail, optionalclip), none of which require tools, make for easy installation. The models MK IV and MK X, the smallest completelyintegrated air-quality sensors in the world, yield ultimate cost efficiency and high volumes. The sensorsare waterproof in accordance with IP64 and IP67 norms. In addition, they offer the following advantages:• Dynamic adjustment to driving and traffic situations: The microprocessor steers various parameter settingswith the aid of an innovative software structure and ambient information.• Regulation of sensor temperature: Regulating the sensor to a constant temperature allows it to performconsistently throughout the entire range of outdoor air temperatures. Neither the vehicle’s speed nor thetemperature of the airstream can influence the AQS ® .• Fully configurable air-quality output: Subject to input signals NO x, CO.• Self-diagnosing: Constant monitoring of the sensor element. In case of a malfunction, diagnostic data isrelayed to the air-conditioning system’s computer. The AQS ® by paragon protects a vehicle’soccupants and enhances their comfort. Thesensor detects harmful gases such as dieseland gasoline exhaust in the outside air andprevent them from entering the vehicle’sinterior.Dynamic adjustment to the environment ischaracteristic of AQS ® . The microprocessorsteers various parameter in accordance withthe driving and traffic situation with the aidof a special software structure. Thanks to itstechnical leadership, paragon currently hasa greater than 85 % share of the world’smarket for air-quality sensors.Errors, omissions, and technical changes reserved.

The AQS ® PrincipleAQS ® VariationsMK IV• Compact and highly functional twin sensor (CO/NO x)• Mounts with bayonet, ratchet rail or clip• Robust, waterproof housing(IP64 and IP67)• PWM, LIN, SENT interfaces or Klimabus• Standard product for typical applicationsMK X MF• Compact and highly functional twin sensor (CO/NO x)• Built-in temperature and humidity sensor• Can be fitted with the “City Detect” software module to finetune the sensor characteristics to the environment• Robust, waterproof housing (IP64 and IP67)• Mounts with bayonet, ratchet rail or clip• PWM, LIN, SENT interfaces or Klimabus• Plug encoding possible• Color housing optionsMK X FT• As in the MK X MF, but without the air-quality functionThe AQS ® is extremely efficient. It activates a vehicle’s ventilation system and closes the intake flaps if externalair quality drops below a certain level. Typical situations might occur in a tunnel, when following a truck, or intraffic. The AQS ® assures efficient operation in any conceivable traffic situation. Special software regulates the sensitivityof the sensor depending on such parameters as temperature, fan speed, etc. Adjusting the sensitivity ispossible by presetting parameters. We manufacture our own sensor elements, ensuring that paragon retainscontrol over the entire production process.MK II – Mufu• Customizable variation on the MK X MFparagon’s wide array of air-quality sensors offers top technology adaptable to every make and model ofvehicle. The MK X family is a refinement of paragon’s line of air-quality sensors. It consists of the MK X MF(Multi Function) and the MK X (TH) (Temperature/Humidity). The MK X MF represents a significant step towardsensor integration, combining as it does, air-quality sensing with temperature, humidity and dew-pointcalculation. This model is completely compatible with the MK IV air-quality sensor which has seen success allover the world. Its software parameters have been adjusted to meet the demands of modern Start-Stopsystems. The MK X TH (temperature/humidity) is a variation that does not contain an air-quality sensor. It isused to determine the dew point, which helps to regulate the air-conditioner compressor more efficiently.
