2012 Think Green Rebates:CFL ProgramCompact Flourescent Lights (CFL) are much more effi cient than incandescent bulbs, so there isa signifi cant opportunity for savings with their use. According to ENERGY STAR ® , CFLs last up toten times longer and produce about 75 percent less heat than incandescent bulbs.Residential Members are eligible to receive up to $ 50 worth of CFLs for their most frequently usedfi xtures when they have an energy audit performed on their home. Qualifying fi xtures for CFLupgrades include recessed can lights, ceiling fan bulbs, and globes.HVAC Tune-up RebateResidential Members can receive up to a $ 150 rebate on an HVAC tune-up performed by aqualifi ed service professional. HVAC tune-ups and maintenance help to keep heat pumps andcentral air conditioning units running at top effi ciency, prevent equipment failures, and extend thelife of the equipment.The rebate is contingent on the Member participating in a free energy audit and providing areceipt from a qualifi ed technician stating that the required work has been completed.ENERGY STAR ® Home RebateMembers who build ENERGY STAR ® rated homes (that closed after Jan. 1, 2012) are eligible toreceive a $ 550 rebate by submitting the ENERGY STAR certifi cate and builder signature verifyingthat the home meets ENERGY STAR standards.CoServ Electric reserves the right to inspect the Member’s property and equipment associated with a rebate request to determine eligibility. CoServ Electricis not a party to any agreement between the Member and any service provider hired by the Member to install equipment (i.e., heat pumps) or to performservices (i.e., HVAC tune-ups) in order to qualify for a rebate. The Member and such service provider are solely responsible for satisfying rebate eligibilityrequirements.

High Efficiency Water HeaterMembers who replace existing electric water heaters with high effi ciency (.94 EF or higher) electricwater heaters will receive a $ 25 rebate with proof of purchaseand a copy of the product’s Energy Guide label.ENERGY STAR ® Window A/C UnitPurchase an ENERGY STAR ® —qualifi ed (10.8 EER or higher)window unit and receive a $ 30 rebate with proof of purchase anda copy of the product’s Energy Guide label.ENERGY STAR ® DishwasherMembers who purchase an ENERGY STAR ® —qualifi ed (.65EF or higher) dishwasher will receive a $ 15 rebate with proof ofpurchase and a copy of the product’s Energy Guide label.Heat Pump RebateMembers who replace existing HVAC equipment (in electric-only, single-family homes) are eligibleto receive a $ 150 rebate for a 14 SEER (with an HSPF of 8.2 or more) High Effi ciency Heat Pumpand a $ 300 rebate for a 15 SEER (or higher—with an HSPF of 9.0 or more) High Effi ciency HeatPump.Rebates apply for replacement of existing HVAC equipment at any single-family home and newhome construction. The Member must obtain a receipt with the Air-Conditioning Heating andRefrigeration Institute (“ARI”) designation of the qualifying installation from the installing contractorfor verifi cation.
