PSAPressure SwingAdsorption Plants

2PSA - Pressure Swing Adsorption Plants. With over 30 years of experience in this field,Linde Engineering has continued with innovativeimprovements of the Pressure SwingAdsorption (PSA) process and strengthened itsposition as world leader in this field of technology.Over 500 PSA plants - including theworld‘s largest units - have already been designedand supplied by Linde. The well provenLinde High Performance PSA systems providean economic and reliable separation and purificationtechnology for a wide range of processgases. Capacities range from small plant sizesof a few hundred Nm 3 /h to large scale plantsof over 400,000 Nm 3 /h feed gas flow. ThesePSA systems are suitable for a vast number ofdifferent applications in the refining, petrochemical,iron/steel-making, and mining industry.Hydrogen Recovery and PurificationThe main application for Linde PSA plants is therecovery and purification of hydrogen from rawgases, such as synthesis gases from steam reforming, partial oxidation or gasification processes,as well as refinery off-gases, ethylene off-gases,coke oven gases, methanol and ammonia purgegases. The hydrogen product meets every purityrequirement up to 99.9999 mol-% and is achievedat highest recovery rates.Carbon Dioxide Recovery and RemovalLinde Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) and VacuumPressure Swing Adsorption (VPSA) systemsare successfully employed for the bulk removalof carbon dioxide in direct reduction plants ofthe iron-making industry. Linde PSA/VPSA plantsare also used for the recovery and purification ofcarbon dioxide from various raw gases in orderto make them suitable for liquefaction or otherconsumers.Oxygen VPSA plant in Chile
