Lake Havasu High School NewsletterPage 17Attention: Parent Portal UpgradeComing in DecemberThe most noticeable enhancement forPowerschool parent users in 2010-11 is the newability to create multiple accounts to helpmonitor their student’s academic information. This feature allows parents/guardians to createa unique Access ID and Password for as manyfamily members, outside advisors, or anyoneelse they would like to include on theirstudent’s progress. The options for providing these additionalaccounts should accommodate mostfamily/parent/guardian situations as well asany extended family or legal obligations.Families with multiple studentsattending LHUSD may monitor all of theirstudent's grades and attendance informationfrom a single Parent Account. With a singlesign-on, parents and guardians will be able toview the information for each student withouthaving to log out and log back in with adifferent login and password.Additionally, these personalized accounts allowparents/guardians to better managelogins/passwords and provides a new ―ForgotPassword‖ utility that will send the passwordto a designated e-mail address upon request.Once the new Single Sign on function isactivated, parents MUST create a new accountto access the PowerSchool system. The processfor this is very easy and directions will beprovided before this new Single Sign onfunction is activated which is now scheduled tohappen during the winter break.Guiding GoodChoicesFree Parenting ClassesSponsored by LHUSD #1Free Child care provided for each classCycle Two:Location: Nautilus Elementary SchoolJanuary 10, 17, 24, 31Feb 7Cycle Three:Location: Smoketree Elementary SchoolMarch 28April 4, 11, 18, 25Call or email Joni Hall to registeror for more information.Phone: 855-5622Email: jhall@havasu.k12.az.usE-MAIL UPDATESDon’t forget to update any changes toyour e- mail address so that you willcontinue to receive the newsletter linkand other important informationpertaining to the high school.
