The adjusted score is computed from the averagescore of the field at each tournament. As a result, a player’s score may be higher or lower than his actual score. It is presented annually at THE<strong>TOUR</strong> Championship to a player sharing Stewart’s respect forthe traditions of the game, his commitment to uphold thegame’s heritage of charitable support and his professional andmeticulous presentation of himself and the sport through hisdress and conduct.In addition to a sculpture presented to the recipient, thePayne Stewart Award is accompanied by an annual PayneStewart Award Grant presented by Southern Company.
