Bothwere 62 by Jim Furyk in the third round of the2001 <strong>TOUR</strong> Championship. Campbell’s 61 matchedseven other players for low round on the <strong>PGA</strong> <strong>TOUR</strong>in 2003, and was his personal best 18-hole scoreon the <strong>PGA</strong> <strong>TOUR</strong>. His previous career low was 63in the third round of the 2003 Chrysler Classic ofTucson.Chad Campbell narrowly missed tying thetournament 72-hole record by one stroke, finishingat 16-under-par 268. The record was set by PhilMickelson in 2000 at East Lake Golf Club inAtlanta.Chad Campbell was not the only <strong>TOUR</strong>Championship “rookie” making a splash at the2003 <strong>TOUR</strong> Championship. Jonathan Kayefinished seventh. The other three making their firstappearance in THE <strong>TOUR</strong> Championship wereDarren Clarke, J.L.
