Souchak posted rounds of 60-68-64-65.Five of the lowest 13 72-hole totals in TOUR historywere recorded at the Texas Open in San Antonio:Armour, Souchak, Chandler Harper in 1954 atBrackenridge, and Corey Pavin in 1988 andDonnie Hammond in 1989 at Oak Hills.With Tommy Armour III’s victory at the ValeroTexas open, 11 players over the age of 40 won 15times on the PGA TOUR in 2003: Vijay Singh (4),Kenny Perry (3), Kirk Triplett, Peter Jacobsen,Craig Stadler, Fred Couples, Scott Hoch, BobTway, J.L.
